Let’s be real. About 90% of women deal with cellulite at some point during their lives. It’s happens. While the severity and location may differ, one fact remains—it’s universally disliked and notoriously hard to get rid of. For years, women have tried rigid dieting and exercise to try and get rid of cellulite, often to no avail. For the most part, you can’t really get rid of cellulite through exercise. You have to break it up and allow your lymphatic system to drain it naturally. There are not many ways you can do this on your own, hence the popularity of Endermologie. It’s a safe, simple, natural, and effective treatment for cellulite now. It’s actually the only FDA-approved and non-invasive method designed to reduce the appearance of cellulite. We here at Atlas Bodyworks have proudly provided the service in Northern Virginia for over 10 years!

What is Endermologie?

Developed by Louis-Paul Guitay in the 1980s, endermologie is the first FDA-approved, non-invasive method that is used to reduce the appearance of cellulite by combining deep tissue massage with suction and vibrating rollers to break up fatty deposits, increase circulation, improve lymphatic drainage, and stimulate collagen production.

Though it is mostly used on the butt and thighs, endermologie can be used all over the body and has gained prominence within the beauty industry over the years as a safe way to reduce the appearance of cellulite.

What are the benefits of Endermologie?

Though the benefits of endermologie may be short term, they are still well worth it, and include:

  • Reduction of the appearance of cellulite

  • Improved skin quality

  • Decreasing fluid retention

  • Reducing swelling and inflammation

  • Improved filtration and removal of toxins

How many sessions do I need?

In general, 10 to 20 sessions are recommended at the rate of 1 to 3 sessions of 35  minutes per week. Thereafter, a session a month is recommended to maintain the results.

How long will take to see results?

From the very first sessions, your skin is brought back to life! Your skin texture is refined and your skin more supple and radiant thanks to the reactivation of the production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. The results then keep improving after each session. For quicker results, sessions can be scheduled several times a week at the beginning of the treatment (the fibroblast can be constantly stimulated). The first month is important to trigger the process at the skin level. After that, one session per month is enough. A beauty anti-aging lifestyle to be adopted all year round!

Why do I need to wear a special suit?

The endermowear™ suit is THE outfit to be worn during a Body endermologie® session. Strictly used for personal use, it guarantees perfect hygiene and its opaque areas respect your privacy during the treatment. The unique composition of the endermowear™ suit provides excellent grab of the skin fold for an even more effective endermologie® session.

What should I expect during my endermologie treatment?

As it is a non-surgical procedure, endermologie is typically performed by professional aestheticians at spas. During the appointment, you will be required to wear a special bodysuit to deliver the full effects of treatment. Massagers are rolled along the cellulite or any problem areas to tone skin and break down any “lumps” that cause the appearance of cellulite with appointments typically lasting between 30 to 45 minutes.

How do I prepare for my Endermologie appointment?

With endermologie, the most important thing is to remain well hydrated so that muscles are easier to manipulate, and any metabolic wastes released during the massage can be removed more effectively. If you are on blood-thinners or any medications that increase bleeding, you may need to consult your physician to see if you need to temporarily stop them to reduce the risk of bruising.

What can I expect after my treatment?

Though results may vary after your first Endermologie treatment, the best results develop with repeated sessions throughout the year. Not only will you reduce the reduction of cellulite, but you will improve your circulation, reduce the likelihood of muscle soreness, and may even take years off your appearance.
